Since the beads are glass, do they break easily?
No, they don't break easily. Of course, if you drop them on a hard surface like ceramic tiles they can break.
Additionally, glass builds up sort of an inner tension during the cooling process. In order to minimize this inner stress they have to be cooled down slowly in a controlled process called annealing. All of our beads have been annealed in a digitally temperature controlled kiln for extra durability. That means after a bead is finished in the flame, it is placed in a kiln that removes much of the stress in the glass that would cause it to break easily. In summary they are stronger than one would think!
