Phoenix
The Phoenix series is a limited edition of 100 different art glass totems assembled with handmade glass symbols and objects.
Each is numbered and signed at the bottom.
Each totem combines three symbols for essential components of our life:
The Koru
is the Maori name given to the newborn, unfurling fern frond, a symbol of new life, growth, strength and peace.
The Heart
is the everlasting symbol of love of course.
The Phoenix
is a mythical sacred firebird in ancient Egyptian mythology. The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal and invincible
- a symbol of fire and divinity.
By putting the three important symbols of our life, the Koru, the Heart and the Phoenix together in one totem, we tried to create a piece of art which connects you to the eternal flow of the universe and gives you a little bit of love and peace every time you look at it.
